Privacy Policy
This policy describes how DecideNorth handles assessment responses, checkout consent, and the operational data needed to deliver the product.
What DecideNorth is
DecideNorth is an educational self-assessment tool for couples. It is not therapy, counseling, mental health treatment, legal advice, medical advice, or financial advice.
Your results are based on self-reported answers and are meant to support reflection and conversation, not to diagnose a condition or predict an outcome.
What we collect
We collect the information needed to run the assessment and deliver the paid Marriage Blueprint: Clerk anonymous or account identifiers, session identifiers, answers you submit, payment records, invite state, and basic operational logs.
When you reach checkout, we also record which consent choices you made, the policy version shown to you, and a fingerprint of the exact consent text tied to that version.
How we use your data
We use your answers to generate your solo report, the shared reveal, and your Alignment Book. That service-delivery use is required for the product to work.
Optional product-improvement and aggregate-research uses require separate opt-ins. Declining either one does not change your purchase, your report, or your product access.
What we do not do
We do not sell your answers or share them with advertisers.
No raw answer content goes to analytics tools or advertising platforms, and we do not use your assessment responses for behavioral ad targeting.
Processors and vendors
We use service providers to operate the product, including hosting, authentication, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, and database infrastructure. These providers act as processors for the limited purposes needed to run DecideNorth.
We limit sensitive data access to the minimum needed for service delivery and security, and we treat assessment responses as high-sensitivity data.
Retention and deletion
We retain active account, session, report, and payment records for as long as needed to provide the product and meet legal obligations.
If you request deletion, we remove or de-identify the underlying assessment data unless we must retain a narrow subset for fraud prevention, tax, accounting, or legal compliance.
Your choices
You can choose whether to opt into product-improvement and aggregate-research processing. You can also request deletion of your data or ask us to explain what policy version governed your checkout consent.
Research exports and benchmark publication are disabled until separate legal sign-off clears that downstream processing.
